Triple Ration Policy
Government of Maharashtra has implemented Tri Colour Ration Card Scheme in the State from 01st May, 1999.

Yellow ration cards are given to families whose annual income is Rs.15000/-.
Antyodaya Ration Card –
These ration cards are given to low income families from BPL beneficiaries. This ration card is intended for specific families like widows/married women or terminally ill or disabled, elderly above 60 years, homeless, lepers, primitive tribal families, fruit and flower sellers who bring goods from handcarts, Garudi, scrap collectors, destitute etc. is given
Orange ration cards are issued to families fulfilling the following conditions: –
The combined annual income of the families should not exceed Rs.1 lakh or more. No person in the family should own a four wheeler mechanical vehicle. All members of the family (excluding taxi drivers) should not have four hectares or more of perennial horticultural land together.
Under the National Food Security Act, 2013, ration holders with maximum annual income up to Rs.59,000/- from the existing APL (Orange) group are selected as priority group beneficiaries.
White ration cards are given to families whose combined annual income is Rs 1 lakh or more or any person in the family owns a four-wheeler mechanical vehicle or owns four hectares of perennial horticultural land in the names of all members of the family.
